"Soyuz-U Ikar" Space booster.

(Western designation SL-4).

"Soyuz-U-Ikar" is the version of "Soyuz-U" booster with new upper stage "Ikar". This upper stage was design for Russian-French Join Stock Company "Starsem" especially for launching "Globalstar" satellites.

First launch was conducted February 9th, 1999. Until November 22nd, 1999 year there were 6 launches and no accidents.
